Airedale Terriers are
Intelligent, pleasant and loyal. Sensitive and responsive, he can be obedience trained at a high level. Intelligent, eager to please, comical, protective, and a great companion are all ways in which this breed could be described. Now there seems to be fewer around, there are many people who will not even consider the Airedale when contemplating a new puppy. I think that this is unfortunate since the breed has much to offer. Intelligent and courageous, powerful and affectionate, though possibly reserved with strangers.
They generally grow to about 45 to 65 pounds unless it will be an outdoor dog, on a farm or similar when, probably, about 50 pounds may be more common.
